Fargo wedding venue
The Yard, Fargo–Moorhead
Fargo–Moorhead
The Yard bills itself as the closest rural venue to the Fargo–Moorhead metro, and that’s a genuine selling point: you get a real barn-and-prairie feel — 12 acres along the Red River, with trees, fields, and water for photos — without dragging your guests an hour out of town. The roads in are paved, and hotels and amenities are close.
Ceremonies happen outdoors on the lawn, with the enclosed barn handling dinner and dancing. It’s full-service: catering, a bridal suite for getting ready, and a “Bin There Bar” — a grain bin converted into a bar, which is exactly the kind of detail that makes a Fargo-area barn wedding feel like home. There’s even an on-site bed and breakfast if you’d like guests, or the couple, to stay over.
We haven’t DJ’d a wedding at The Yard yet, so take this as an honest recommendation rather than a firsthand report — but it’s high on our list of Fargo-area venues we’d love to play. Owner Cliff Enns is hands-on with every event, right down to personalized signage and weather backup plans, and that kind of attention is usually what makes a wedding day run smoothly.
