Hilton Garden Inn Fargo Wedding Venue: Ballroom, Capacity + What to Know
Fargo, ND
The Hilton Garden Inn Fargo sits just off I-29 on 17th Avenue South, a couple of minutes from West Acres, and it is one of the most practical wedding venues in town. Ceremony, reception, dinner, bar, and the hotel rooms your guests sleep in are all under one roof. Nobody drives anywhere after the last song.
The Grand Garden Ballroom
The main event space is the Grand Garden Ballroom, about 10,000 square feet with 16-foot ceilings. At full size it seats around 550 guests for a plated dinner, which makes it one of the largest wedding rooms in Fargo. It also divides into smaller sections, so a wedding of 120 or 200 gets a room that fits instead of a big empty hall. Altogether the hotel has about 14,000 square feet of event space across seven rooms, which covers a rehearsal dinner or a gift-opening brunch on the same property.
The ballroom was refreshed in 2026 as part of a hotel-wide renovation, and the room feels new again.
Ceremony, food, and bar
Indoor ceremonies are available, which matters in a state where an October forecast is a coin flip. Catering is in-house through the hotel’s Garden Grille & Bar, with plated, buffet, hors d’oeuvre, and dessert options, and the bar is full service with house and specialty beer, wine, and liquor. A wedding coordinator on the hotel staff runs the timeline with you. Site fees apply for both the ceremony and the reception, and catering runs through the hotel, so ask for the complete package quote rather than a room rate.
Rooms, parking, and the rest
There are 110 guest rooms, so a room block for out-of-town family is easy, and parking is free. On WeddingWire the hotel holds a 4.8 out of 5 rating across 30 reviews, with 96 percent of couples recommending it.
From behind the DJ booth
We have DJed weddings in this ballroom, and it is a good room to play. The carpet and the ceiling height keep the sound full without the echo you get in a gym or a metal-roofed barn, and when the room is sectioned down the dance floor stays close to the tables, so nobody has to cross a parking lot of empty carpet to join in. The catering team turns the room from dinner to dancing without missing a beat. We were also asked to DJ the ballroom’s grand reopening celebration in September 2026, so we have seen the renovated room at its best.
See it full of vendors
The Bridal Fantasy Wedding Show is held in this ballroom on October 25, 2026. We are a member vendor, so if you want to walk the room, meet the hotel’s coordinators, and say hello to us in one afternoon, that is the day to do it. Details and tickets are at bridalfantasyshow.com.
