Corporate events · Fargo, ND

Corporate event sound
in Fargo.

Music people can talk over, and a microphone that works the moment someone needs to say a few words. We set it up before your people arrive and stay to run it.

What you get, and what it costs

Background music at a level people can talk over, and a microphone ready for whoever needs it.

Your base rate

  • Weekday, Monday to Thursday $400
  • Friday, Sunday, Saturday daytime $550
  • Travel in Fargo, Moorhead, West Fargo, and Dilworth Included

Add only what you need

  • Each hour past four +$125
  • Announcing on the microphone +$200
  • Power, if your site has none +$250

Both rates buy four hours of event time. Setup and teardown are free on top of that, never counted inside it.

Saturday evenings are usually reserved for weddings. Ask and we will tell you honestly what is open.

Anywhere farther is quoted plainly up front, never added to your invoice afterward.

Most company events land on a weekday, which is our lowest rate and the easiest thing for us to say yes to.

Not for: Full bands with drums or separate monitor mixes.

What companies actually ask for

Most corporate events do not need a DJ.

The phrase people reach for is "we need a DJ," but what usually gets described next is music in the background while people eat and talk, and a microphone for a welcome, a thank you, or a few awards. That is sound, not a dance floor, and it costs a good deal less than booking a DJ for the night.

So that is what this page prices. If your event genuinely has dancing, say so and we will quote that instead. We would rather send you the right number than the bigger one.

What we bring

Enough, and not more.

Speakers sized to your room

A pair on stands for most banquet rooms and office spaces, not a wall of gear with lights on it.

A wireless microphone

Moves to whoever is speaking, and set with a real voice in the room before anyone arrives.

A laptop connection

For your playlist, or a video with audio that has to play at the right level.

Power if you need it

Tents, lots, and warehouse bays are all workable. If the site has no power, we can bring our own.

The part that goes wrong

The microphone always matters more than the music.

Nobody remembers what was playing during dinner. They remember whether they could hear the person who stood up to speak. Rooms full of people absorb sound, cutlery and conversation fill in underneath it, and a microphone that seemed fine in an empty room can disappear once a hundred people are in it.

We set levels with a real voice in the actual room, and we stay on the board so that when someone speaks quietly, or holds the microphone at their chest, it still lands at the back.

If you do want dancing

That is a different booking.

A holiday party with a real dance floor is a DJ job, not a sound job. It runs longer, it needs someone reading the room and building a night rather than holding a level, and it is priced with our wedding work. Tell us which one you are planning and we will quote the right one.

What you are really booking

The room hears the person who stands up.

Everything else on this page is in service of that one moment. If your CEO, your award winner, or your retiring colleague can be heard at the back, the event worked.

FAQ

Corporate event questions

What do you actually provide for a corporate event?

For most company events it is background music people can talk over and a microphone that works when someone needs to say a few words. We bring a system sized to your room, set it up before your people arrive, run it for the whole event, and pack it out.

How much does sound for a corporate event cost?

Weekday events start at $400 and Friday, Sunday, or Saturday daytime events start at $550. Both cover four hours of event time, and setup and teardown are free on top of that. Most company events land on a weekday, which is our lowest rate.

Can you handle announcements and awards?

Yes. Announcing is a flat add-on if you want us on the microphone for welcomes, awards, and keeping the program on schedule. If you would rather use someone from your own team, we hand them the microphone and keep the levels right at no extra charge.

What if our venue has no power where we need sound?

We can bring our own power as an add-on, which matters most for outdoor events, tents, and parking lots. Tell us the site when you ask and we will tell you plainly what it takes.

What if we want dancing?

That is a different service. A company party with a dance floor is a DJ booking rather than event sound, and it is priced with our wedding work. Tell us which one you are planning and we will quote the right thing.

Do you charge for setup and teardown?

No. We are usually on site 60 to 90 minutes before your start time to set up and test everything, and we stay afterward to pack out. Neither is billed and neither comes out of your four hours.

Tell us about your event.

Tell us the room, the date, and roughly how many people. We will tell you what it takes and what it costs.
