City Brew Hall, Wahpeton, ND

City Brew Hall is one of the more characterful wedding venues in the southern Red River Valley, down in Wahpeton, ND. The building started life in 1910 as the Wahpeton City Hall, and a full renovation in 2018 turned it into a brewery, restaurant, and event space all under one roof. Downstairs you’ll find the bar and brew kitchen; upstairs is where the weddings happen.

The event level — made up of the Hall and the 1910 Lounge — leans into the building’s history in the best way. Floor-to-ceiling windows pour in natural light, the original exposed-brick walls and hardwood floors give the room real warmth, and it holds up to 300 guests. It’s the kind of space that photographs beautifully on its own.

We’ve DJ’d weddings here, and the upstairs hall is a genuinely fun room to fill — the exposed brick and hardwood give it warmth, and the layout keeps the energy together. Having the bar, the kitchen, and the dance floor all under one historic roof keeps the whole night easy on you and your guests.
