Brewhalla, Fargo, ND

Brewhalla is one of the most distinctive wedding venues in Fargo — “beautifully unusual” is how it’s often described, and it earns the name. Within walking distance of downtown, it’s part of Drekker Brewing’s sprawling complex, with two industrial-chic event halls: the Magic Factory (up to about 360 guests) and the Odditorium (up to about 260), both dressed up with metal beams and chandeliers.

What sets it apart is everything around the party. Your guests can wander an on-site local market, grab a beer at Drekker’s taproom during cocktail hour, play a few of the 25-plus pinball machines, and — when the night winds down — crash in the attached 40-room boutique hotel. It’s full-service as well: on-site catering with plated or buffet options and no minimums, AV with house sound and projectors, and a day-of coordinator.

We haven’t played a wedding at Brewhalla yet, so this is a recommendation rather than a firsthand take — but for couples who want a modern, downtown, anything-but-traditional night (and want to keep guests entertained from cocktail hour to last call), it’s hard to beat.
