Armory Event Center, Moorhead, MN

The Armory Event Center brings real history to a Moorhead wedding. Built in 1915 and fully remodeled in 2021, it pairs original character — 25-foot ceilings, historic clay-tile walls, an elevated stage — with clean, modern finishes like polished concrete floors. The result is a big, open, industrial-but-elegant space with a lot of presence.

When you book, you get the entire building for the day. The main-floor reception hall seats up to 400, and the downstairs social hall holds up to 250, which gives you room to spread the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception across separate spaces. It’s full-service, too, with on-site catering and table, chair, linen, and china setup handled for you.

From the DJ side, that 25-foot ceiling and wide-open main floor make for a genuinely fun room to fill — there’s space for a big dance floor and the energy carries across the hall. We’ve worked weddings here, and the room delivers.
